We heard Pavis' side, I'm not sure we've heard all of Allardyce's, from what I've been told.

I would happily take Williams back. Who in his position wouldnt have left last season, I suspect his wages would have more than doubled. I dont get all the talk about being in decline we had just played both Doncaster and Crawley I believe it was off the park in back-to-back home games.
From memory after securing promotion there was all the talk of a new defender coming in and it seemed we were throwing all our eggs in one basket for Debrah then his medical broke down and LW was left with a defence that he and the club knew needed strengthening as no other option was identified. Perhaps the lack of defensive recruitment by RM was more at fault than LW being in decline.

Strong stuff KC, so do you think the city is working against us in recruiting and keeping players and managers?

I wouldn't have thought so as i doubt many of our players live in Nottingham anyway. It's probably a good thing that Nottingham is central and easy to get to. But really, if it was a choice between Nottingham and Swansea, I know which i'd choose! The city depresses the shizzle out of me when i come back to see family.

To be honest most cities are in decline, not just Notts.

Compared to the bohemian utopias that are Grimsby, Accrington, Barrow, Morecambe, Burslem, Chesterfield, Doncaster.....?

Nottingham has more than its share of deprived areas, but if you are a footballer who can afford to live in a relatively affluent area, then in terms of services, amenities, shopping, nightlife, the city knocks spots off most of League 1 and League 2 towns.

Yeah, I think you and KC said it well.
It says it all that once horrible exceptions like Luton, Stoke, Oldham have become the norm across England.
But Nottingham/Notts is big and interesting enough to live well, if you have a bit of money

    I find it incredible.

Leaving aside the debate about whether Williams is the right man or not, we should seek to appoint the best candidate out there for the job. If they do well, whoever they are, there's a good chance they will get head-hunted by a bigger club and move on at some point. In the meantime we get the benefit of whatever progress they make.

I can't believe so many grown adults seem to expect professional football people to show undying loyalty to a club and turn down better opportunities. It's a business, not a love story. We've poached managers ourselves. The only thing that matters is will they improve us while they're here?

Absolutely not, I?m totally biased but Nottinghams the best city in the world in my eyes 😂. Joking aside Nottingham is seen as a very decent place and people with good sporting heritage. Think you were questioning it too AC.
