Instead it's Bromley, Barrow, Accrington, Fleetwood, Barnet etc. How depressing.
Someone wake me up in 12 months if it's all sorted.

    Look at the positives.

I see way more points from those games than the Barnsleys Rotherhams Boltons.

Gotta go at it next season. With Bradford going we?re genuinely the biggest club in the league no arguments.

Hope we get a head coach befitting of leading such a club.

Wimbledon had the best defence in League Two and if you keep three clean sheets over three playoff games then you deserve to get promoted. In the six hours of football we played against them this season we could only score against them once from a corner where Matty Platt headed the ball in.

Wimbledon may not have played with flair or firepower (being the lowest goal scorers in the top seven) but they've been a tough side to break down along with having physicality and some dark arts. It's worked for them on this occasion.

Walsall fans will see it as a massive opportunity missed for them to get promoted more so than us. They had a terrible run of form after being 12 points clear at the top of the table in January.

Out of the four sides that have been promoted this season only Bradford have not played in League One in the last three years. Doncaster and Wimbledon coming down in 2022 and Port Vale in 2024. They know what is required to get out of this league and that's something the club can learn from.

It might be 15 years since we won the league two title and football may have moved on but some of the fundamentals of how to get out of this league still remain. The spoilers Bishop and Ravenhill broke the oppositions play up and enabled us to dominate midfield. They were surrounded by the likes of Davies who was the creator and scored fift.een goals, then Westcarr who got nine goals and had pace. Then we had the firepower of Hughes up front and Rogers as well.

That's what we need in midfield this summer some physicality, pace, creativity and goals so we are not reliant on the strikers.

Totally agree that?s what we missed and with no JJ or Crowleys we were just very average, would have another manager done better, quite possibly but I?m not 100% sure.
It?s gone now we need to recruit well and get everything out of JJ and Jarvis as there?s a proper player on there with him if we can get it out of him, they have to be further forward which means abandoning WBs or you try and get them as your 10s but they can?t be running back to our goal all the time.

Ravenhill, Bishop and Jackson in midfield. The same Johnny Jackson who coached Wimbledon to promotion today. Ingured too often for us but has turned out to be a decent coach a few years later.

Maybe we should keep an eye out for Sam Austin he might end up being a top coach in a few years time.

Ghastly cheating side. Consolation is that I think they will come straight back down. With a bit of luck we will pass them on the way up!

I see tight shorts guy got away with another blatantly obvious shirt pull when the Walsall player was through on goal. I swear if they had VAR in the EFL Wimbledon would've finished 16th.

If you?re talking about Joe Lewis that?s the type of defender Notts need, would sign him in a heartbeat.
