Reading many of the posts on various threads in the last few days, I'm surprised one 'Mike Bassett' isn't in the betting odds.

He would soon be hounded out.

Might sign that Liam Baskerville from Cheaterfurlough though!

In other betting news, we are 33/1 to sign Jamie Vardy:

If it happens and McGoldrick re-signs, we could have a front two with a combined age of 75!

I'm up for that. No ageism here!

As the owner of four basset hounds over the years, I think this should be under a different Fred.

I'm not sure if this name has cropped up or been discussed, but the manager who would really do it for me is Rob Edwards. I didn't even know that he was out of work. Young and also been successful with FGR and Luton.

40-1 currently, but would be a huge coup for the club.

Somebody has to be the favourite at any given time and hopefully Alves' odds will start to drift after today. If they were intent on making him head coach then there'd be no point waiting around.

Wouldn?t be hugely surprised but would be very disappointed if Alves is promoted to head coach. It wouldn?t make sense to me either. If the bro?s wanted the cheap option, surely just sticking with Maynard would have been the way, with Alves stepping up if Maynard sacked during next season. There are 2 or 3 great fits in the betting odds (Buckingham for me) but I think we may see someone from abroad this time around.
