Seems a logical choice for the brothers. I’d rather have Buckingham or back to LW personally, but a manager that achieved 96 points is worthy of consideration.
More importantly, does he play 4 at the back and does he refuse to utter the phrase “inverted wingbacks?” If so, he’ll do
    Yeah he plays 4-1-4-1

Hinshelwood back out to 11/10 overnight which is a bit odd I suppose.

The rest drifting out massively to 6/1 (Alves) and the rest at least 10s now.

Incidentally, Brian Barry-Murphy who we were linked with after LW left is now odds on for the Cardiff job.

Interesting article here on Hinshelwood's style of play at York: https://www.analystsbar.com/post/ada...tical-analysis

If this is an accurate reflection of what he could bring to Notts then I think he would be an excellent fit attackers and defenders currently in the squad.

Would need signings in midfield to make this work (a playmaker with a longer range of passing and some legs/work rate to cover ground) but anyone who has watched Notts this season will know with Abbott leaving this is the position of greatest concern and will need investment anyway.

I'd guess Hinshelwood will have some decent contacts at PL and Championship clubs via his family members
Could help with loans if he comes in

ChatGPT thinks Mike Williamson and Adam Hinshelwood are the top favourites.

Edit: I for one would welcome Luke's son into the club with open arms.

Not sure about Mike Williamson? failed at high profile clubs like Fakes and a well funded Carlisle. Last season was a disaster for his reputation and a bit like his predecessor?s I am not sure he would be willing to shift from his plan A.

Agreed, 2 well funded clubs and 2 failures for Williamson makes me wary. Not that keen on Hinshelwood, if I'm honest. No EFL managerial experience, though in fairness, at least he was at the right end of the NL with York. Surely we can do better?
