Rightly or wrongly the positions changed and they?re expected now to cut in and shoot, deliver low drilled crosses from closer and it?s probably proven somewhere by data is more effective than swinging in long crosses. JJ actually started the season pretty well on the right and looked a threat.
The WBs this season under SM were deeper and unfortunately not up to standard most of the season, I think that was the bigger issue regarding their attacking output than anything else, but it?s all opinions and for me obviously depends on the individuals ability with both feet.
