Argyles nearest me - he came across as a really nice genuine bloke and the fans loved him.

Little help for him tho - no real money to finance new players, he was doing everything himself.

No surprise he?s gone to a club who?s ground is 3 times Plymouths and huge support - his family stayed abroad anyway.

Fans divided on him goin - many understanding why tho.

Shame cos the fans are some of the noisiest I?ve heard

Bundeslega 2 is now the top attended second tier in the world.

Taking also Bundeslega 1 into account, these were the top average attendances in 2024/25 just finished:

Average attendances in Germany in 2024/25:

    Borussia Dortmund - 81,365
    Bayern Munich - 75,000
    SCHALKE 04 - 61,655
    VfB Stuttgart - 59,265
    Eintracht Frankfurt - 57,600
    HAMBURG - 56,323
    Hertha Berlin - 53,190
    Borussia M?nchengladbach - 53,139
    COLOGNE - 49,929
    FC KAISERSLAUTERN 46,312

** CAPITALS means a Bundesliga 2 club. Note Cologne & Hamburg have just won automatic promotion to the top division, whereas SCHALKE only avoided relegation to the third tier in the last couple of games, which makes their average attendance staggering.

I worked for a German company for 30 years with head offices based firstly in Hamburg and then out of Frankfurt so I knew a few colleagues who followed Hamburg and Kaiserslautern + 1 who was an ardent SCHALKE fan. They were one of the top clubs but have experienced major financial difficulties in recent years. They lost their major sponsor due to the war in Ukraine.
A little more about them here:

I have recently started watching it on Sky and downloaded the Bundeslega app which covers the top two divisions, and the crowds and atmosphere is phenomenal.

The thread I provided is actually a couple years old done when they were in the Bundeslega but are now in the lower reaches of Bundeslega 2 which makes their attendances astonishing and is extremely difficult to get a ticket.
