I'd prefer the owners to take their time with the manager and player recruitment. When does pre-season start?

That sounds extremely unlikely. Is it possible he was referring to turnover rather than profit?

According to AI back in January we were at 75% probability of being promoted without the playoffs. We then sell perhaps our best player and replace with total unknowns, unproven at this level.

We were sitting pretty with the second best crowds in the division, a bit of the right investment would have got us over the line.

Now we face next season without Didzy, where's the creativity going to come from unless Jones gets back in shape, but maybe he's had one serious injury too many. We could and should have in my opinion pulled the stops out to keep Didzy at his boyhood club, still has class to offer above the vast majority of League 2 trudgers.

So we face next season with a squad that currently is going to be fighting a survival battle, rather than looking forward to League 1 unless the recruitment team can pull 3 or 4 gems out of the bag.

People also keep going on about the Nest and Padel courts, yet don't realise that they aren't owned by the football club and thus the football club doesn't necessarily benefit from them.

I'm hoping we get it right but fear the worst with Dunnet in charge.
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I?m sure someone will be here soon pre season is late June / early July.

Williams I think didn?t arrive until mid June when he was appointed.

They might have waited for the Didzy news to get out the way first as they will know how popular he was.

What has been the owners biggest statement of intent (ambition) in the six years they've been here?

Only thing that springs to mind is not selling and keeping hold of Langstaff for one year. That was no small matter and a decision that might have counted for a lot more if they'd brought in somebody to push us on to promotion that season, but sadly they opted for Maynard.

McGoldrick seemingly would have come back regardless, with him just wanting to play for Notts again in the twilight of his career, so I don't think they can take too much credit for that.

No matter how hard I look I just can?t see any signs of ambition from these owners

Keeping hold of Langstaff is a good shout but I would say their considerable investments in the stadium, pitch, and income generating areas around Meadow Lane is the biggest statement of ambition.

There are plenty to choose from but that would be my choice.

Just asked the chap who was at the event, Joe said the Nest has bought in nearly a million quid for the club, so im reading that as profit
