Priske back into joint favourite with Hinshelwood. Luke Williams back in the frame at 4/1.
I know these odds are mostly nonsense, but at some point, for a short time, they will reflect reality!
If that's open to anyone, then Hinshelwood would be good based on his season with York, Priske could be fun but might not work out, Williamson would be a nightmare based on his Carlisle spell, Ian Evatt would be good based on his Bolton spell, Wilshere won't happen, and Williams is going backwards but is still massively preferable to the worst choice of Alves.
Evatt - A winner and he would clearly be a poular experienced appointment.
Buckingham - Would be great but I doubt we'll get him
Hinshelwood - I fear he's a one season wonder, I can actually see him being sacked at York early next season if he doesn't hit the ground running.
Williams - Been here before, popular, knows a fair few of the players
Priske - Would certainly be interesting if nothing else.
Wilshere - Don't really want to be known as "Jack Wilshere's Notts County".
Williamson - Wanted him here a couple of years ago but not convinced now, think he's gone backwards.
Alves - May as well have just stuck with Maynard if he's in serious contention.
I'd want the most confident, head strong and opinionated. I've no idea who that would be from those listed but I would imagine that person would be the first to be discounted, if he even made it to the interview stage.
Evatt and Buckingham will be hard to get, same with Williams and Priske even harder, these guys will be targeting champ team and champ wages. Wiltshire, Hinshelwood or Williamson achievable but are they that tempting and it will 100% not be Alves.
I?d say Evatt might be the one out of those first 4 we can get and probably the right one too.
Agree with most of that but except Williams, I think he would be great and with less chance of getting an offer to dick off this time. I get what people like about Evatt but just cant see him wanting to work under our model.
I reckon we are getting Hinshelwood personally.
