January just does not give you the luxury of checking players like the pre season period does. I would suggest that come January the majority of the budget has been allocated?. As i see it the Brothers focus their attention on pre season assembling a squad that should see the season out. January is for emergencies only whether that be injuries or figures transferred out of the club.
Maybe a serious tilt at a cup (Carabao/FA) run would help the economics and open up the budget?
