    Harsh OP I would say.

Joe Palmer has appeared and answered questions at two fan's forums which are still online on YouTube, and just because his name isn't specifically on every written communication, it doesn't mean these statements aren't representative of what he's thinking and doing. In terms of visibility I'd say he's in the middle range. We used to see plenty and hear plenty from Jim Rodwell back in the day, but it didn't mean the club was healthy.

Totally agree with this. Me and a couple of mates met Joe Palmer in the Nest after the Donny game and, in the 20-30 minutes he stood chatting to us he was very open and transparent about the direction the club was going in. He answered most of our questions (those he could without breaking any obvious confidentialities!) and came across as a thoroughly decent and competent CEO. It was clear he really enjoyed working for the brothers, is totally bought in to their strategy and is excited for the future. Equally it was clear that he is a 'realist' and it's a big part of his job to manage the budget, not just on the footballing side but across the whole club (commercial etc). "Sustainable" is a word he used a lot during our conversation and it's obvious that money in / money out is a priority for our owners. ie. They will not be breaking the bank and/or "doing a Wrexham" to buy our way up the leagues. This could mean it takes us longer, with gradual improvements year on year but most fans would rather have that than the risks of another Munto type debt, or even an Alan Hardy type that plummets the club back to non-league.

Joe left us confident that the club is in good hands and that all the work being done on the Commercial side (Nest, Padel courts, ground improvements, other potential building purchases etc) is with the sole intention of bringing more money in that can be spent on ensuring the club continues to progress but in a sustainable way.

As for not communicating, any good CEO will have a decent Comms and Media team to do that for them (which Notts does very well with Nick Richardson's team etc). Just because messages don't come directly from the CEO doesn't mean he's not behind them. Whilst he was bloody brilliant at his job I don't recall Jason Turner (RIP) making statements every couple of weeks to keep impatient fans happy...
