Birmingham lol, yes I have one embarrassing tale with them
I had taken my brother in law to his 6th game At home to the blues, who from the start weren't even interested in the game. The fans were over the top gesturing, pushing stewards and you could sense they were itching for a fight.
5 mins from the end, they started emptying in droves, even though they were only losing1-0

We left at the end, walking from the Clough upper, behind the Trent end, to go under the bridge. You could see/hear them congregating down the middle of the road, picking fights with folks crossing. Getting uglier by the second
As we went under and emerged to walk up to the bridge path. I said to the brother in law, keep your head down, keep walking but be alert for the unexpected. If you have to, strike first. As we crossed a Birmingham fan broke ranks, ran across the road and tried to vault the pedestrian rails right along side us. The BIL quick as you like, open palmed him in the nose and launched him nearly into lane 2,
All I heard was, (in the brummies' accent) " I was only trying to get out the way mate"
I'd forgotten the BIL was a Taekwondo black belt and his training just kicked in, ooooops. my bad
