It's not a surprise in this day and age now. Especially with the structures in place across a lot of the big clubs and multi club ownership model.

Buy players for the sake of it and not giving a jot if the player works out or not.

Like you say, trading in players like they would a commodity.
Can we really expect anything less when it is becoming more and more about money.

One of the reasons I am very suspicious of the yanks being involved in the Scottish game.
