As of today (Friday 12th) it's 21 days since Maynard was sacked.

There were 18 days between Burchnall officially leaving and Luke Williams being announced. Also 18 days between Thordarsson and Steve Thompson.
The only other lengthy gap since 1953 was 13 days between Howard Wilkinson leaving and Larry Lloyd being appointed. Every other manager since 1953 had been announced within 5 days, the vast majority the same day or day after.
I think we may already have one, but it will not be disclosed until he returns from holiday.. Hopefully tomorrow ..
