    Right, yes they did.

With Padel being the fastest growing sport in the UK it was a no brainer to build the facility especially especially when it was only used for car parking behind the Kop.

When the industrial unit directly behind the Derek Pavis became available to purchase if you own the adjacent football club you just buy it. Don?t even think about. Huge marriage value with that purchase and improves the match day experience for fans just like the improved F&B outlets for people in The Kop.

I have not seen the numbers but I would to see the P&Ls for both

Using the land/building was a no-brainer really and the costs involved must be very close to be recouped if not already achieved. I don't think money has been diverted from players budgets to infrastructure, we have a budget for the season and no matter what, we stay within that budget (negative IMO when for the price of a couple of pints we could be in L1 now (pints was a joke)).

Saying something is a "no-brainer" after it's become successful is pretty easy. I'd never heard of Padel, and I'm guessing Smiffypie you weren't campaigning for Paddles not puddles in the car park. (puddles is a joke)
On your wider point, I agree that if a few decisions, signings and games had gone differently in Jan/Feb, we would indeed be in L1.
