Semi Ajayi will be joining Hull city on July 1st .

Swift ,Ajayi and Grady will be all of our wage bill on July 1st .
We probably have deals lined up, free contract draw their last wages till the end of JUne
Agree Matt and only speaking about this today. Mason is relatively safe because the expectation last season was understandable play offs where this season it?s mid table. With Furlong in front of Griffiths, Bartley waving, no quality in midfield it will be a long season.
So expectation from me will be mid table and the only bet will be Dike will be in the treatment room before Maja.
Peace was right - mid table championship club.
We need a vision , a reboot not platitudes and management consultancy speak.
It won't happen , we'll talk about our heritage etc but will not deliver a vision for success.
Are we not near an all or nothing moment?
Mason and co won't deliver that. Just platitudes and failed strategies-eg old prem players, maybe a spurs loanee but think about it both wrexham and the blues offer more ambition and that means they get the pick .
We'll finish bottom of the top half next season and continue to drift to nowhere- well mid table championship club
THere are models to follow - Brentford Brighton - proven to work but not what the board want.
I think we will have a very average season finish 8-12th but the overall direction is down . Tell me I'm wrong
I sincerely hope we don?t go back to ?one last payday hasbeens?
Youth is the way forward even if it takes 2-3 years to push for promotion
Baggieal is right if we still see the likes of Furlong, Bartley and Mowatt then we are in trouble
Im not 100% sure of what you think the clubs strategy is. Its felt to me like the club are trying to replicate Brentford or Brighton.
Our paid signings have been Heggem, Styles, Price and Bany: which to me implies were trying to buy talent from different leagues (3 out of 4). Weve clearly expanded the scouting network and taken a data approach (like Brentford and Brighton )
Dont forget the new owners inherited a mess, so they cant turn this around overnight and will need to sell before we buy.
I also think well be mid table this season. But I also think fans will be daft not to temper expectations and see the longer term vision over short term success.
A very reasoned post IMHO and agree with you Matt. Of course we need to recruit in some areas to replace the likes of Mowatt and Bartley but I believe that is hampered by financial restraints rather than lack of vision. Once Ajayi, Diangana and Swift are off the books then not having to pay their wages will help and the moot point will be who we are then able to recruit. As you say, few could argue against the signings of the likes of Heggem, Price and Styles so who knows?
Yes, the Championship is notoriously tight and we may indeed end up mid-table but with the right players, game plan and attitude we may equally be pushing for play-offs again.

And for me….the right ATTITUDE is the most important attribute
