He'd be a bloody marvellous goalkeeper to be that CiB.

Apparently Newcastle are still only offering 25 million for Trafford. Why haven’t they just been told to feck off if they are not willing to come near to what we think the transfer fee should be. Because as I see it they are just wasting everyone’s time.

We may need to sell Trafford but only at the right price. Why are Newcastle persisting with these low offers. If they don’t rate young James they should be told firmly to look elsewhere.

The problem is they do rate James it’s just a test of our resolve as we are a small club and they think they’re massive and will continue to bully in a nice way until they think they’ll get what they want.

I’m off Howe tbh he got Pope for next to nothing in reality and now he wants Trafford the same way greedy bar stewards - I still think his value would rise again if we keep him this year and he plays well.

“If”- such a big word, but so important.

It’s is Mal agreed - just feel like they are making it so difficult that eventually Trafford will push for the move

I have no problem with him going but Howe knows his worth - so pay a fair price or don’t.

I genuinely do think him and Esteve values will increase significantly if they played this year for us and they perform.

I also think if Parker gets things right and we get a few of these players in we maybe much more competitive than last time around.

Maybe Trafford has to go to partially balance the others coming in I don’t know.

The rumour in this part of the world is that James will soon be a Toon player. Eddie is under pressure from fans because they do not rate Pope's ball skills on the deck! They really do need to have a look at Nick's record since he has been here, however, we all know that many fans just jump on any bandwagon.

No idea on what has or has not been offered for James but.............................

All the reports I have seen are giving 25 million as the Newcastle offer and I don?t think if Newcastle really want Trafford that is a fair valuation.

Given the Premier League are desperate to stop us buying players, I cant see us going north of 30 million on a keeper that wouldn?t be a guaranteed starter ahead of Pope. 30 million for a keeper is massive money in my opinion. Can see it happening at some point but it might be next year on your way back down 😋
NUFC get Trafford for free next season and save £40 million. Nick Pope can easily do another season as no.1.
