Sly Stone’s toes, formerly tapped to his own devilish funk, are now in ‘turned up’ mode. Boo.

Author and right-wing bigot Frederick Forsyth will meet his maker by appointment, and demand that paradise’s gracious and caring culture be replaced by a less-benign r?gime including to-the-bone cuts to the harp budget, and slackers in the cherubim be given a short sharp shock. The cnut.

Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys away at 82.

I reckon all things considered, him making it to 82 was a real achievement.

Probably the best live act I have seen (2002, 2007, 2016) since I first attended gigs in 1972.

We should be grateful to have lived in his time. A Proper Mannies? genius.

Family hearts broken in Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Toronto.

    Ach.

Sandy Gall - News at Ten host, alongside Alistair Burnett for most of my childhood.

Went to Aberdeen Uni and then started his journalism career with the P&J, before moving on to Reuters as a foreign correspondent and then on to ITN.

I'll be honest. I thought he went years ago.

This site - does anyone know how to set up and manage a new one? Can't do any worse than whoever claims to run this thing!
