That would be great business for him and also the added bonus payments should he succeed. We have always been poor with our payments after a player has moved on from the club.
Johnston plays like this for the Irish team too. Very little consistency over a few games. Like a lot of modern footballers who are mediocre they have a great game and then they revert to type instead of pushing on. It's because of quick instantaneous rewards today.
While accepting that Johnston was not the player last season that he was when on loan, I would be concerned if we were to lose him. It looks very likely that this will be the case and this, coupled with the fact that Fellows could well leave, would mean that we would have lost most of our creativity. With the exception of Price, we are seriously lacking in this department. I hope that we have plans to improve on this.
Johston move off apparently. Failed medical.
Worst of all worlds if true. Discontented player, not wanted by the club, medical issue, value plummeted.

Something going on but think the whole failed medical story is fabrication Dubs.
Used to like Hartford when he was with us btw. Seem to remember that the issue around his medical was when Leeds found he had an issue with his heart and his transfer fell through. Can't recall if it was a heart murmer or something else but didn't stop him from getting a move elsewhere and continuing his career. Too lazy to look it up but think he moved to Man City?
