The profit on his sale may fund the majority of the cost to bring in Heggebo but while I'm not against bringing in the promising Norwegian striker, I really don't want to lose Mikey- particularly if we are also going to lose Fellows as has been widely speculated.

I know that Shilen Patel's open letter was clear about our financial situation meaning we would almost inevitably see some of our better players sold this transfer window, but to lose both wide men is surely a mistake? If Mikey's move does come to fruition, let's just hope that the likes of Price or Heggem don't follow and that they may even have a rethink and resist offers for Fellows -though I doubt the latter given the money speculated.

A pity we can't attract buyers for the likes of Mowatt and Wallace to fund upgrades as baggieAl says, but then that's always the case as it's obviously always easier to sell your better players.

If we do lose Johnson, we still have Grant I suppose to play in that position but whilst his work rate can't be criticised, he doesn't have Mikey's feet and personally, I always feel that he is better playing off the shoulder as a number 10 rather than as wide man putting the ball into the box.
