    Nothing to do with how much you have paid it's calculated on how many years you have paid.....what you pay is irrelevant

    Not at all, you can pay voluntary NI contributions to increase your state pension, that's always been the case as long as I've been self employed which is at least 40 years.

    People are trying to tell you that your pension isn't based on how much NI you paid today but for some reason you seem unable to understand. Trying to discuss the intricate workings of tax collection with a man who can't turn up at the right ground on matchday is clearly futile.

    Show me where I?ve said it?s based on NI contributions.
