Trafford does need to think very carefully about going to City if they are about to sign Costa

Acording to Keith Downie - Trafford wanted to come to Newcastle but the clause in his contract said if Man City came in for him he had to go there regardless of his own feelings.

If this is true, then I could see us going back for him next summer if he's not been used or rarely used.

I can't imagine he'll be happy going from number 1 at Burnley, to coming here - confident to challenge Pope for our number 1 spot. To probably being a number 2 and sat on the bench, particularly when he apperently had little say in it.

Also turns out they activated their clause with less than hour before it ran out - so I would say we had it all done and dusted till that last hour when City panicked at us getting him.

This window literally seems a case of allowing the ?big names? off PSR so they can buy our targets from under us.
