If we can't afford Nisbet, I doubt we could afford Dykes.
I'd say he'd be on a hefty wedge at the Brum.

How much would it take to sign Nisbet or Dykes?

For example Hanley would have been on a fair amount at Norwich but I cant see him being on anywhere near that at Hibs.

I would have thought Nisbet in particular would be willing to come up here for £6-7k a week with a signing on fee.

From what I have read it sounds like Yengi was made one of our top earners to convince him to come up here.

Hanley is 33, so maybe wages were less of a motivation at this point, as would have made his money.

Dykes I suspect would have offers in England as did ok with QPR initially, I couldn't say if he played much at Birmingham.

I believe Yengi is the type of player Jimmy wanted for the role. No idea if that is true or not, but it would explain a lot.

His career record isn't great, but hopefully he comes good for us if he is what we are going with.

Hanley was out of contract, so his bargaining power was limited somewhat by that.

Nisbet and Dykes are not out of contract so they are far more in control of what they do for this season.

Personally, Id have Nisbet back over Dykes. I like Dykes, but he's mega injury prone and we really could do without a guy on mega wages (in our terms) who spends half the time on the treatment table.

Nisbet ended up with 14 goals last year - not a bad return given he took half the season to get fit and get going.

Proven goal scorer and would do a job again Im sure. Might have to be another loan for the final year of his contract though Im sure Millwall would prefer to sell. All comes down to the finances I guess - what the club and player want.

I really don't want to write Yengi off, but we cannot get away from the fact his performance on Monday was very poor and quite concerning.

He's a big unit, but was physically weak and easily handled by the diet CH's. Halkett is smaller than him but won every header they contested - unlike at the back for us where Hearts won at least half the ariel challenges (not good enough by us by a long way).

Yengi just didn't seem to have the heart for the battle. That's just not going to cut it up here, so lets hope he can show us why the club were so keen to get him onboard in the next game or two.

Bojan Miovski is coming home?.we are going to smash our transfer record and get the deal done to secure him. He won?t be our only striker signing as I have been assured that another player familiar to us is very close to signing.
