Nor me sir O, I'm still in France. I used to go to all the pre season friendlies and we always under achieved, but these days most are behind closed doors. I remember one at Morecambe which I think we lost which brings to mind the sh!t situation Morecambe now find themselves in which is very sad given how much they've improved the ground since our last match.

I am warming up for the season ahead by watching Chelsea v Bayer Leverkusen. Tella starts and got a mention for his time at Saints and then Burnley.

We lined up against Lazio playing a back five: Burnley: Hladky, Sonne, Walker, Ekdal, Esteve, Hartman, Cullen, Laurent, Hannibal, Anthony, Foster

Subs: Weiss, Worrall, Pires, Bruun Larsen, Koleosho, Edwards, Tchouana, Barnes.

I was just able to watch the first 10min. Understand we had a few chances and played well first half. How was it?

I thought we were the better side in the first half. Kyle Walker was excellent at right back and made some great diagonal crossfield passes to Anthony. Hartman looks a very solid performer. After the break we were caught on the counter twice. On the first occasion Lazio won a penalty saved by Weiss. The second time however the Italian team scored following a fast break. I suspect Dubravka, Ugochukwu and Broja who were not in the squad for Lazio may well feature at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. If Broja and Tchaouna can add the missing punch up front we may not be doomed.

I doubt if Dubravka, Ugochukwu or Broja will be featuring at Spurs. I don't think that we will see Broja until early October, he is delicate and needs handling with care

Interesting to note that Spurs or away to PSG on Wednesday night, in the European super cup, played in Italy.
This fixture couldn't have come at a worse time with the new season ko on Saturday.

Spurs fans not happy with the lack of summer recruitment, and they say that they lack fire power

I don’t think Scotty can afford to leave his new signings out of first team action for too long. The Lazio game showed that Hannibal & Cullen will need Ugochukwu alongside them. We also created a good few chances and went close but clearly need a finisher. Hopefully Broja can do that. We are no longer taking endless short corners so need more players with aerial power in the box.Lastly and by no means leastly the doom merchants and aforementioned bedwetters will be on Scotty’s back sooner rather than later if we make a poor start to the season.

Need to work more on Jaidon Anthony's finishing imo. Great player, gets into good goal scoring positions, but too often fails to convert. Sort this out, and we have a top player.
