Superb result and performance. Didn't get to watch the game live as I was working so recorded it and enjoyed it this morning instead. Sapsford could very well become my favourite player, love how hard he works and he's actually decent on the ball too. Two goals and two assists from 4 games is good going by anyone's standards. It's great that he and Watters are scoring early into their United careers and bodes well for the season. Dolcek is going to be a good player for us too. Defence is gelling nicely and Sibbald was also immense last night. Biggest downer was the injury to Pappoe, looks a bad one too. It's absolutely ridiculous our luck on the injury front right now and it's even more credit to the whole team and coaching staff to get a result like that. Can't f*cking wait for the return leg

    I f*cking love Dundee United! 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

All any fan can ask of their club?s players is that they give their all. And everyone in the team did that last night ? got into the tackles when possible, fought for each other, went down to make blocks, got up to meet headers, ran until their lungs must have been bursting. Proud to have these men in tangerine shirts.
And proud when Dundee FC get their new stadium apparently 🙁

Was on holiday this week, but thankfully still in Scotland and a tele to watch.

Nearly just switched it off after Pappoes injury and their goal, but then a bit of magic along the byline and we were never really out of the game again!

There is no sugar coating it for me, but Rapids goals were absolutely shocking goals to loose, and is something that is gonna be repeated this season. I have a decent opinion of our 3 central defenders, but that is outside the 18 yard box, but is gonna take a bit of time to get them into a unit that can deal with last nights goals better.

While Sapsford and Watters quite rightly get the plaudits for their performance, i am slowly falling in love with Camara. The amount of ground he covers in every game is absolutely phenomenal. Sibbald has played 2 of the best games ive seen from him in a United shirt.

However, barring a great goal at the weekend and sublime lob into the path of the defender near Sapsford, that is all ive seen from Dolcek so far, but he is one of the newest signings.

We do need some of the squad back in place for the home leg though as Bert looked done near the end, and Camara was running on an empty level that was still above most others on the pitch!

Never did i think that the modern day United could produce an away performance in europe replicating the heroes of the 80's but this new side did the city proud last night with a wonderful away performance and they will rightly go down in history. Its worth remembering that Rapid reached the 1/4 final of this competition last season.

The United support last night truly magnificent in a hostile atmosphere and although i have not seen the game back on the TV i would imagine they were heard on the BBC coverage.Plenty of people would have tuned in last night expecting an Alkmaar but instead witnessed a Man U away.Proud as phuck to be an Arab.

I had no idea that we were ranked above both AIK Stockholm and Gyor in the Fifa rankings but apparently we are. That would make us favourites to reach the groups if we manage to get past Rapid.

It was a great performance mate, hopefully it's a sign of more good things to come.

This is a great comment from Sapsford on the fans as it shows JG is really getting it through to all the new players what it means to play for United

"I really appreciate them and the miles they put in to come and back us. “I hope I sent them home happy from Vienna. "We just try and show our appreciation to them by working hard and making them proud.

“We know that because the gaffer tells us about the fans. “He tells us we need to work hard for them. “We are from a working class city and we need to show that same application on the field.”

Some fantastic shots of the Tangerine Army in this German fan vlog. Amazing.

The action on the pitch not captured well but you do see the full force of the Pappoe injury which I never realised from the TV pictures.

Pity that Rapid Vienna have done the same and found joy with our defence being all at sea. I'd be dropping Iovu for the next game and putting SCH in. Competition for places is exactly in play here and he needs taken out of the team for his own benefit as well.
Hopefully he'll improve but I would have had SCH in for him against Hearts.
