I'm no Red John tactically but the vibe I get off Sir Yames's formation is that it's more important for the 9 to act as a conduit for the three in behind.
This'll mean playing a lot of the time with his back to goal and getting the ball early while effectively marked.
Looking at the stats for Effsberg my recollection is the wide guys and the 10 did the heavy lifting goals wise.
