Remember our chairman telling us all after the cup final that our spending this year will be greater than the previous. He better step up a gear or two regarding that.
We are really lacking going forward and pose very very little threat scoring wise. Our strikers are not regular goal scoring players so that is a real issue that needs resolved.
Is Kevin Nisbet the answer, in my opinion no.
Ohsh!t is liked by fans but offers nothing as a goal threat. No fantastic through passes and no goals. He isn’t what we need and at best should just be a squad player with limited time.
Yengi, Ambrose and Sokler are no threat at all. Sokler will score more goals than the other 2 put together but nowhere near enough required to be a starter for Aberdeen.
The club have failed the fans (so far) in this window. The manager is being made to look stupid. Game on for the last few days to address the current issues.
The end result of the transfer window is to come out of it stronger than you went into it. Motherwell and St Mirren even Hearts seem to have had a good window in that sense. We on the other hand have done poor recruitment which will cost us places in the table, it?s as simple as that.

When the window shuts we will be weaker than when we went in to it.

I am going to stick up for Jimmy Thelin here. This is the transfer window to back the manager to the hilt. Not hinder with dross signings from English diddy league teams who cannot get a game for their club.
We desperately needed quality through the door and have so far relied on poor performance players from last season continuing their roles because what we signed are actually worse.

Jimmy Thelin will be left to carry the can because he is the manager. Burrows, Gunn etc will still be safe in their roles. It’s ridiculous to think both those clowns have the roles they hold at Aberdeen FC. The pressure should really be put on Cormack and those muppets rather than the manager. They need to produce miracle signings these last few days as a left back from the Celtic B team and Kevin Nisbet are not going to provide what we need. Miles off it.

I will not be surprised if Kevin Nisbet does not sign and the latest rumour is only smoking mirrors BS
That leaves us with B level player from Timothy and fcukin Yengi ffs oh ma fkn heed

This whole transfer window summary reads like one of my school report cards did.

    Must do better

Nisbet, when fit, is evidently able to take a chance in front of goal, so he would be a decent addition - for example, he’d have lifted the early Sokler chance on Thursday over the keeper and he’d also have been anticipating it - Sokkler did neither. Nisbet is not enough though. We also need a big physical centre forward who has a presence, gives the opposition defence a hard time, can hold it up or run in behind, and of course has the ability to score - in other words, someone like Yengi, but who can play football. Miovski would have been an ideal signing but he’s decided to sell his soul to the devil. Not sure that there will be that many worthwhile signing options this late in the window, so if we have to make do with the current crop of duds, there’s zero chance of finishing in the top six, in my view, as the Cheeks, the Edinburgh two, Motherwell, St Mirren and even Dundee United will be no push overs. Not very optimistic.

That is Frame officially signed now. We paid money for him too apparently. No pressure.

Jamie McQuilken came through the Septic youth set up...just saying.

Welcome to the club loon and hope you can step up and do a job for us in a problem position.

In other news, a few reports that Fletcher Boyd is going to England. Villa is the main rumour as to where he is going.

Nisbet is a proven SPL goalscorer. Exactly what we need.

Remains to be seen if he comes though.

I thought he fairly came on to a game with us the second half of last season and scored some big goals. Considering we didn't create an awful lot of chances, his goal return for us was impressive.

If we keep him fit and create chances for him, all will be good.

We just need to sign him now.

He should go straight into the team. We don’t currently have a decent left back.
Nisbet will be a meh signing in my opinion. We need further options to strengthen our attacking play as it is currently miles off what is required.
A lot of pressure on the Aberdeen board and recruitment team to come up with answers to help their manager out. It would be pretty damaging for Jimmy Thelin if his choice of recruitment team doesn’t supply him with the correct players. It would make them all look like they are bluffing their jobs at Aberdeen.
They wouldn’t be the first lot to do that though….the place is rife with these sorts.

This transfer window is turning into a bit of a joke for us.

Fletcher Boyd I suppose hasnt really played that much for us but I always hoped he would eventually break into the team.

Shady Mo had 13 assists and 5 goals last season, he was never popular with some of our supporters but thats a big void to fill.

Pape was hopeless but had his moments, again though I cant really see who we have replaced him with.

The next few days are really important for the board in regards to bringing in players, coming away with shyte about how they tried to bring in players but couldnt get them over the line isnt going to be acceptable.

Was just chatting to a Millwall season ticket holding mate. He says he's in the minority at The Den to think there is a player in Nisbet and seems to think him coming back to us is pretty.much a done deal.

We'll see. No idea if true, and if loan or permanent - but it's the opinion down there
