    RIP Dickie Bird

What a sad loss, a genuine good guy, donated thousands to various children?s charities, always had time to stop and chat to everyone, we were sat talking to him only a few weeks ago at the Yorkshire v Sus*** match at Scarbados, he looked very frail but was on good form, a lovely man, will be missed by many especially Yorkshire supporters.. RIP Dickie

    Sad,

Only followed test cricket a little in my younger days, but missed most of this true gentlemens playing career as I was born to late to see him play.

His autobiography is apparently a very good read, though not read it myself. Might see if I can get a copy and give it a go.

    RIP Dickie Bird.

Awful news and especially if you were talking to him a few weeks ago. I have a lot of time for those like him who give to charities.

As they say Bomber - live for every day. I do.

Glad your back otherwise would never have returned.

Have never really been into cricket myself, but my Dad was and so matches were always on the box or radio at home. Another legend of the game passes and, by all accounts, a true gentleman. RIP

Ps Glad to see you back on here Bomber, along with Al.
