Now what does that sound like. It is authoritarian, closely aligned to! Oh yes Putins Russia.

There is even talk now of a 70 mile tunnel being built under the Bering Strait connecting the USA with Russia. Trump is a dangerous man and he is sidling up to a murdering leader of a country where anyone who disagrees with his politics or even his unlawful military objectives, are taken out and killed.

    Link re the tunnel.

Millions of Americans right across America, were out in protests against Trump yesterday (Saturday 18Oct) due to his authoritarian motives. At least some can now see him for what he is.

Trump is a coward and a bully who hopefully will be found out and kicked out. He has likely no intention of facing off with Putin, he doesn?t have the stomach for it. His main objective is getting a Nobel Piece Prize, which he has admitted. It shows he has one agenda and that is all about promoting himself, like the narcissist he comes across as.

We will not step another foot in the USA as long as he remains president. Quite a few Americans have left the country and will not return until Trump is no longer president. He is a despicable, dangerous man, one which the American people or the world does not need right now.
Don't disagree with a lot of that OB, but very rarely are individuals wrong about everything.

Trump is, at root, a narcissist who has latched on to the rise in populism (itself very much enabled by the failures of the liberal elite) to further his own interests. Some of the MAGA die hards will never be persuaded of course but for others the worm is beginning to turn. Quite aside from any concerns over his anti-democratic policies (the list is pretty endless but Inc his attempts to control the media and judiciary and replacing people in key positions within the military or government with inexperienced sycophants), his "big beautiful tariffs", his success in reducing illegal immigration and other vaunted policies have not actually improved the economy and many of those who voted for him have seen none of the claimed improvements in their own quality of life.

Yet Kimmel's favourite Man-baby is not wrong on everything (even if he still greatly exaggerates the details). Surely he is right, for example-as Al says-to point out that no NATO countries should be continuing to buy Russian oil and that all need to do more to pull their weight in terms of how much money they contribute to the Alliance. Similarly, whilst disagreeing with the creation of ICE and particularly how it operates, he is not wrong to question why levels of illegal immigration rose 3 fold during Biden's administration and the impact of such numbers.

Trump is by no means a traditional POTUS and his sometimes laughable inexperience and lack of knowledge in many areas caused an all time high turn over of White House staff in his first term. He called out Kim Jong Un as "little Rocket Man" which must have made many seasoned US diplomats hold their heads in disbelief yet he was also the first US President to fly to actually meet the North Korean leader-something that Biden, Bush or Obama would not have even entertained but also surely the right thing to do? Sometimes, even if rarely, not following the normal rules may be a good thing.

Trump supporters-and Trump himself-may see the uncertainty he creates via his "policy of chaos" as a quite deliberate strategy to un-nerve his opponents to get what he wants. To him it's all part of him being the "master of the deal". While this may have worked for him on the odd real estate deal and maybe even in the odd diplomatic engagement, the reality however is that both financial markets and foreign diplomacy much prefer stability not uncertainty.

Many increasingly view Trump's tactic of unpredictability as being muddled and dangerous and some that his claims of it all being a deliberate ploy simply mask the fact that he does not really know what he is doing. However you view Trump, I think that both Ukrainians and the Palestinians in Gaza have every right to be worried as to how either of his vaulted peace settlements work out for themselves.
