On a separate note, there are a lot of intel that Russian is making very slow progress and the drone attacks on their infrastructure is working at wrecking their economy. They probably cant sustain a war for the amount of years Ukraine can hold them back.

I think Putin is shifting on getting a deal and Trump is delaying dealing with him whilst the damage is taking hold to improve bargaining position.
There is to be no meeting. Russia has said that it will not attend.

Tomahawks were mentioned and suddenly Russia makes the impression it wants to talk whilst still continuing with the war. Trump does a U-turn on Tomahawkes and Russia says we are not talking.

It is quite easy to see Russia is playing Trump while the big oaf orange one is more concerned with building a ball room in the Whitehouse.

Back to NATO and its funding. I see where people are coming from, however small countries, let?s take Estonia for and example, are unable to provide the 2% of their GPD. Should they do so, then it would be to the detriment of the Estonian people, many who are already on the poverty breadline.

I agree it should be more of an even playing field, in an ideal world it should be perhaps, the world however, is not an even playing field. If we want strength in numbers then those nations with the wealth will have to assist those that do not have it.

The alternative does not bear thinking about. Trump has hinted he wants out of NATO. If the US does leave, then we will see what will happen to Europe. Better start learning Russian now. Mind, we will likely not need it for long.
