Wtf........the world can be a threatening place with wars, pandemics, malicious governments, organised crime syndicates, job losses, educational struggles, food insecurities, natural disasters and petty crimes.

based on the level of disagreement human beings are highly unreliable at identifying correct political claims.........this is extremely unfortunate since it means that we have little chance of solving social problems and a good chance of creating or exacerbating them..... as highlighted in political debates on here.

political beliefs and perceptions of threat are linked.......but the relationship is nuanced.
the threat politics link depends on at least three sources of variation..... being the type of political belief, the type of threat and the political system........ i merely introduced the importance of good early education and the fact of how compromise can he ised successfully.

ulitmately people adopt political beliefs that help them fulfill particular psychological motivations........ and presently for some people right-wing ideology may be particularly well suited to help such minded people manage threat........

nah, as our politics fail because time and time again our individual self-interest overrides our collective wellbeing is my answer.

as politics includes the variables of human thought and ad hoc situations there is not a consistent set of situations or conditions... nor do all people think or react alike...... so you are going to get a different answer every time often from the same person in the same situation at different times banging on about global politics.

i actually do not need a fence as i am open minded....... being willing to consider new ideas and perspectives even if they challenge my own beliefs........ which involves actively listening to and understanding different viewpoints, being receptive to new information and not being prejudiced....... a quality linked to critical thinking, better decision making, stronger relationships and greater mental adaptability for my benefit..... all abilities of merit to why i left the UK to explore my full strengths by voting with my feet.

Politics and religion are the cause of most, if not all, wars and crimes. I wonder how the WTF message of all BS about the Muslims after today's train incident, and wonder if he still loves them. Like I said to Totty, look after your families and do whatever to protect them, cause no one else cares.

BBC News "The arrested men, who police described as a 32-year-old black British national and a 35-year-old British national of Caribbean descent, both born in the UK, were being questioned at separate police stations."

No mention of their religious or political affiliations/preferences, and even if they were rabid ISIS members, so what, that makes them representative of the whole of the population who would say they were muslims? I think not.

I don't "love muslims", I don't love anyone but my daughters and grandkids, the rest of humanity is there to be tolerated (or avoided, depending on my mood and their behaviour). Despite that (or perhaps because of it), unlike some, I don't tar everyone with the same brush. It was Irish nationalists who blew up British army staff in Birmingham, the Blues and Royals in Hyde Park London, and mortared Downing Street (where the PM lives). I don't hate the whole of the Irish population for any of that, only those directly responsible.

Since the large influx of refugees/asylum seekers from various parts of Eastern Europe and the Middle East/North Africa, there have been a number of attacks by those claiming some kind of affiliation with ISIS etc (bit like in your neck of the world the Lindt Cafe siege in Sydney in 2014 and the Queanbeyan stabbing in NSW in 2017). I despise those directly responsible, but does it affect my feelings towards the vast majority of muslims living and working in the UK? Not one bit, why should it? Live and let live, you should try that sometime.

Well, you obviously don't understand the Muslim world there beliefs. Another vers in their crap Bible. Be a liar and tell lies if it benefits our beliefs. Do you see what is happening outside the UK eg, Nigeria, where the Muslims are killing Christian Nigerians in droves? The same thing that happened to the Armenians and the like in the hands of the almighty Muslim Turks, whom your country and others in Europe want to bring into the useless euro fold, only for them to take over. Dude, they are taking over everywhere, and soon to be the biggest city in the world, New York will be in their hands. The western world has opened the floodgates, and hell is already here.
