For me, it makes no difference what race the offender is.

Why do people generally make an assumption that is there is a crime it is terror related or committed be someone who is Muslim etc.

In this case, it was neither. Has there been a backlash against black people as a result of this incident. No. Thankfully.

If it had been a person, British born, who was a Muslim, would there have been a backlash. I leave one to decide. And then question why.

Why, in a multicultural society do we need to know immediately what race, nationality or religion the perpetrator is.

The first and most important issue is, let the police do their job. Get the evidence and then, when it is gathered, put the person before the court.

Morons might well want to go out and attack people because of their colour or religious beliefs. I do believe most decent law abiding and sensible people will leave it to the police and the courts rather than carry out a witch hunt.

And I mean no offence to anyone who thinks differently. It s a board where we have to agree to disagree at times.

For example the police had to release that a migrant from the hotel in Epping has s exually assaulted a little school girl. It was in the public?s interests to know as the school route went past that hotel. Many parents could then decide on lifts/other routes or to be accompanied by an adult. The police are now getting slaughtered as they did not release the ethnicity of the grooming gangs and even Rishi said it was wrong!

Sometimes though it?s not in the publics best interests because it could prejudice a trial!

Your observation was fine. .Had the police not released for example that a migrant
s exually assaulted that little school girl in Epping then would it have been safe for little school girls to have continued walking past that hotel? Who knows but many parents were giving lifts or walk sharing their daughters when it was known the horrific offence was caused by a vile man wIthin that hotel.

If a crime is committed by White British males of which there are numerous then of course this should be released immediately if it?s with the public interest and safety.

Just the opposite! By disclosing that it was a British National and not an illegal immigrant, Muslim or whatever it avoided the misinformation that could have been posted on social media which in turn could have caused unnecessary trouble. As Al stated, depends on the situation.

The only way the police will divulge any information is if there’s a threat to the public. For example, someone is on the run. They won’t divulge ethnicity unless they are describing a suspect or suspects who are a threat to the public.
