Swansea 1 (Galbraith 90’) - Derby 2 (Ward 34’, Salvesen 53’)
After a much improved first half of dominance with 73% possession we succumbed to a sucker punch counter attack. Yet again we were wide open on our right with Ronald and Key in no mans land as has happened so many time this season, the ball crossed, Ward heads in.
Second-half was a different story with Derby all over us, their high-press and five man defence nullifying anything Swans could muster. It took them only eight minutes to score again and seal the win. Derby were more aggressive, slowed the game down and controlled the play. Weak refereeing assisted them by ignoring their blatant time-wasting. We pulled a late goal back but it didn’t mask the fact that we were totally outplayed. Worrying times.
