Ronaldo can play in the opening Portugal World Cup game.

What an absolute cowardice way FIFA have acted over his red card dismissal.

We all know an elbow with malicious intent is an automatic three game ban but oh no not for the gifted one.

The show must go on with him in it. Absolutely stinks!

If they play friendlies he surely will be banned!

To be honest I want to watch the best players in the world. I saw him play just the once in St Ettiene when Portugal played Iceland.
He was marked by an ex miller who had Jim in his pocket.
I wasn?t impressed by Ronaldo or the match on the whole but I was with Vespabri and we had a great week taking in 3 matches during the euros

and when someone in the play offs gets a harsh red card for a player diving over his leg, what will happen?

You can bet it will be a 3 match ban and miss all the group games. No exceptions.

Little Squirt, my point exactly, one rule for one and one for the headline grabbing players. It will have been the Yanks demanding that he is included at all costs to keep the viewing figures high which manufacturers will pay billions of dollars for to advertise their products/services. A big win win for the TV companies.

Imagine Harry Kane in a similar role. 112 games playing for England. Never received a red card while playing for England. Uses his elbow, receives a red rightly so, but for how long? Okay he's not played 200+ plus games for his country but still as prolific and important a player for England as Ronaldo is for Portugal.
