    Charlton Match Today

A Charlton Athletic fan has died after a medical emergency at their ground, the football club have said.

The side's EFL Championship match against Portsmouth at The Valley was halted in the 12th minute while the supporter initially received treatment, and was subsequently postponed

First very very sad and complete condolences to this family. Makes me so cross though when I was 6 or so rows behind Mark Townsend our supporter who tragically died at Hillsborough. He was in an awful way and eventually paramedics arrived but despite many supporters singing stop the match stop the match. The match carried on and Mark tragically died and yes the late response to him was disgusting.

How can one match be stopped and abandoned and our match at Hillsborough continued? Not right and how must Marks family feel on hearing this?

Apparently, the game has been stopped at Loftus Road due to a medical emergency.

Thankfully, the fan appears to be OK but we are now two down!
