Richards was great, 100% deserves a run in the team. Very unlucky with their penalty too.

Kuch not even in the squad
Richards starts
Adams on the bench
Sensible from JG - get rid of the liability

Richards, did nothing wrong and for a change really wasnt called on to perform so he should keep the shirt. I think the combo of Graham being back and Richards being in goal gave a more confident air to the centre backs. But Strain was found lacking again and Ferry has lost it for now. His arguments with KK may be correct but your own form has to be better. It shows that they dont play well together.
Adding to this goalie worries thread.
I?m not sure about Richards sadly
Still think Adams deserves chance and could well be the answer we need
Generally feel JG should play more of our youngsters
I think after watching a couple of keepers we should be examining the coaching staff, WTF is all this punching about...
Last season he was arguing with Traps. In all fairness he has had a poor time of it with KK and Traps around him. However the offer from the foreign club has turned his head and for me that is piss poor aspect of having Transfer Windows. We cannot do deals throughout the season. I remember we bought Olofsson, Zetterlund and Pedersen in and that transformed us. Getting money and Billy Dodds for Robbie Winters was another good deal. Dodds going to the club before The Rangers was not a good deal for us.
Which brings me to the recruitment person. It maybe different these days but having scouts out and about who you trust might just be more beneficial than all this data driven scouting. The defenders this season are quicker, but are they a unit? Do the keepers we sign catch balls? Can they adapt to Scottish football and pick up wins? The last three questions asked, my answer on what I have seen is, no.
Rumour doing the rounds that keeper Jak Alnwick is coming in on loan when the Window slams open.
Currently at Cardiff. Made 29 league appearances for them last season but hasn't featured so far in this campaign.

Think this one has a bit more legs than the Craig Gordon one. Alnwick was at St Mirren from 2020-2022 under, you guessed it, Jim Goodwin. According to Wikipedia, JG wanted to take him to Sheepsville but he opted for Cardiff instead. Sounds like injuries more recently have curtailed his appearances. Given Goodwin’s previous management of the lad, this all sounds very likely.
