Don't worry about it, bud.Twitter has captured and fooled far brighter people than you

The people who designed Twitter spent a lot of money to create a system that is addictive and feeds information that it believes a user will swallow. That means more money for them.

Interesting info. Who told you this? Was it in the Guardian or on the BBC?

I don't think that I have seen anything on either of those two platforms.

I have ve been interested in the psychology of conspiracy theory belief for several years, having occasionally encountered them in court (I once represented a bloke who believed that statute law didn't apply to him - that was fun).

As a starting point re: Twitter, you could try this article:

    Great link Avon.

The author - Judson Brewer - is also the executive medical director of behavioural health at Sharecare Inc....

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharecare

Concerns have been raised regarding the bias of answers provided on Sharecare.com by “knowledge partners," or paid sponsors.Such knowledge partners include (among others): Colgate-Palmolive; Pfizer; Unilever (Dove skin-care products); health insurer UnitedHealthcare; and Walgreens drug stores.
Whoever would have seen that coming?

Is there no end to these amazing 'coincidences'?

I used to participate on the matchthread and when Reduke could not start the thread I started doing it in his place.
At the time we had over 100 members during a thread but some of them used to try and ruin it by writing a goal had been scored to wind people up.

Due to this and not with my consent Deano and Bigrich gave me moderating tools to stop the spoilers. The first thing I did was give myself a yellow card.

To be honest it has spoilt my participation of the board. People like you don’t seem to get that other people like me and CAM plus others do things because if they didn’t then this board would have closed years ago.

At one time there were 3 boards, one for football a taproom and a horse racing board.
Votes were taken to close down the other two boards.
I have tried in the past to keep the taproom opened by transferring some threads on to it but through trial and error it was decided that OT on a thread title would give everyone enough info to know that the thread wasn’t football related!

If you think that I do it for power then you are wrong.

I don’t set my own rules it may be that you have a dislike to the way I approach things. I can live with that.
I no longer try to let pricks get to me and I no longer worry about offending people anymore.

No one has the right to go through life not being offended!

Suck it up giddy! It’s not personal

If it's a waste of time to go into these things properly, then why bother posting anything in the first place?

If you get snarky about people asking questions then that's not very open minded is it? Always carry doubt with you - we shouldn't forget that true scepticism is a success story from Britain from hundreds of years back.

Clearly some people in the public sector do things wrong and for the wrong motivations. Not all do. Some structures work ok, others don't. It's not simple. I'm genuinely interested to know what's going on, I just want proper context. And as it seems you like to look at this stuff a lot I'd hope you be able to consider all the angles and share some proper perspectives. And yes I read the Guardian as well as the FT, Times, BBC, Private Eye, the Conversation, social media, direct reports and evidence from Government, policy papers from all political parties...but what I don't do is take one bit and tell everyone about it as if it's the truth if I'm not prepared to think about the motivation of someone writing it, wider context, and my own knowledge gaps. There's a difference between expressing an opinion that you're willing to change, and sharing headlines to make blunt forthright points and criticising those who don't immediately swallow it whole without you providing a better case for it.

Because I refuse to be silent to the BS we're being fed by our elected officials, Big Pharma and the evil that is referred to as the Deep State.

I have neither the time nor motivation to explain this to people who blindly nod their heads and accept the 'official' lines fed to them.

Has president Trump banned federal financing of gain of function research?

Many people strongly suggest that this is where the Covid 19 pandemic originated.

I think that gain of function is banned in the USA but they were able to fund it abroad.

I must add that this was done in may this year so that a John doesn?t have a fit and feel the need to throw insults.
