    Are things turning

    for the worse for Eddie?

This may be long, so i apologise in advance.

I have stayed away from social media since the derby day diabolical defeat.

I was absolutely raging with the performance but the one thing that has pissed me

off even more was Eddie Howes press conference yesterday. He is a very good talker

but the PR spin answers have taken their toll and all i hear is how full of shlt he is.

Bruno said after the game that we didn't press, attack, defend, tackle and we were a

mess (or something to that effect) and he was absolutely spot on.

Eddie said we played well and defended well???

We were utter crap, had road runner on the right, who cant trap a bag of cement,

and on the left, we had whatever that thing with the headband calls itself.

We were set up not to lose, that tactics were to bottle it, set up to fail and again, no plan B.

He was asked, why we dont press anymore and Eddie said the players cant do that

    every game!

They have not done it at all this season, we have played rubbish since the cup final.

Villa manage to do it and play in Europe!

Since that James Bunce joined, we have gone backwards physically, and its rubbing off on the players.

Tino has halted contract talks and i suspect he is away in the summer.

Tonali looks like he is not interested anymore, like Isak last season.

Our defence is aging, Burn, Tripps, Lascelles, Schar, Krafth all on the wrong side of 30

Barnes must be fuming, he scores and still gets dropped for Madonna.

We have a 25 man squad so we can rotate, Eddie needs to get back to the relentless pressing asap,

i dont believe he knew and still doesnt understand how much that game means up here.

I'm not in the Eddie out brigade, but that will sharp change if we dont beat Fulham tonight.

Infact no, scratch that, im not arsed if we lose as long as we ****ing turn up and have a go, thats

    all i ask.

I can see the fans turning soon if we lose tonight and again to Chelski and Manure without performing.

I really can see a huge overhaul in the summer starting with Eddie unless he turns this round now

Can't disagree with any of that Tanya, I had convinced myself I wouldn't be watching the game tonight but I probably will mainly to see just what team Eddie puts out. Surely he will change the game plan but I get the feeling it will be more of the same.

It's a results business. 3 points a game but some games are more valuable than others.

Most of that team on Sunday have experienced local derbys in Milan, South of France, Mersey Side where ever.

    They know what it means.

The whole thing felt like paralysis.

My mates in the away end side it was a weird atmosphere and the away support wasn't screaming their lungs out like usual. They said it was quite alien to be there in the Prem.

That lose is unacceptable, however, that shock to the system after sleep walking to several disappointing and infuriating defeats on the road this year has to wake the team up. It can not continue. If they are serious about being top players at a top club then they need to act like it.

Finding a way to win is what top players do. Bending every rule to breaking point, like R7 did for Rooney's red card all those years ago.

Winners find a way to win. If that humiliation doesn't snap them out of it then they don't deserve to wear the shirt.

If they don't start playing at a level fitting of their status then the manager will lose his job.

    Simply as that.

    It's a results business.

If I was a betting man Id put my money on Eddie turning things around.
I think the volume of games is killing his technique as a manager - we all know he loves the day to day and training with the players. He needs to find a way.

Agreed. Gotta be pragmatic. He's pulled it around before.

16 games in last season NUFC were 12th with 23 points. This year after 16 games, 12 with 22points.

I don't think they are turning yet - he's got a lot of credit, even with current social media types.

However, as other have said lose the next 3 meekly and I can see a swing beginning to happen.

Eddie is absolutely the man who could turn it around...but will he?

Our problems are of our own making; it's Eddie's shift in approach that has us where we are. We currently don't have an identity because he's changed the way we play.

Now that's an observation based on what Eddie himself said as opposed to a criticism per se. My point is that, if he's decided we can't play our old style because of the number of games, then he needs to develop a new style that does work with the squad and players we have. We haven't really seen it yet apart from, maybe Everton away.

After the greatly improved performance against Fulham and reaching the Semi Finals of the Carabao it is clear that the squad are still fully aligned with the manager and they are fighting to redress the embarrassments played out down the road.

This season I think we've seen the the attempt at evolving the playing style with the introduction of Nick, it's been necessary. However, to date considerably hit and miss.

It should come good in time. Without getting track suit Eddie's training ground magic Monday to Friday, it'll take some time. So, patience is needed. Alas, patience is not a virtue the mouth breathing bed wetters among the fan base have. Hyped up by the Mackem and Cartel trolls and stooges online the single digit IQ vocal minority taking the bait hook line and sinker.

Some social media accounts are committed Howe Out and no matter what he does they'll continue to repeat their no nuanced, fact less drivel. Eddie could win a Cup double this season, requal for the UCL & also progress to the last 8 of this seasons UCL and they'd still spout 'he's not an Elite manager' Bull$hit!.

How I loath that term. Elite Manager.

When I pushed one fat clown on a fan forum some time ago, he folded like a cheap deck chair. The fat muppet said 'Eddie will never win us a league title. Elite managers win titles.'

I said so Roberto Mancini is an elite manager, yet? - Answer - 'Yes of course'

My reply - Ok cool so if he's so Elite what is he doing Managing here in the Qatar Stars league? I could get a came in the Stars league.

The fat clown had no response.

come on mate, you surely do not believe that!

It was better but it only seems better because of the last minute drama. If it had ended

1-1 and went into penalties, we would not be happy.

regardless if our club is in transition or not, we are an absolute shambles!

on the one hand we have the demolition games vs PSG and Spurs, where we showed "intensity is our identity"

and then on the other hand we have every single game in the last 18 months.

Struggling against a 10 man Burnley, the throwing 11+ points away from winning positions,

the countless points dropped in the last 10 minutes of this season.

I genuinely hate watching our games this season, the football is shlte, we have no clue or purpose.

You cannot plss on my head and tell me its raining.

The biggest tell tale sign for me is Graeme Jones. He is normally on his feet conversing with

Eddie and Tindal and often shouting at the players, this season he is almost horizontal in his seat,

knowing full well we are well below par and it is a product of Bunce and Eddie toning down the

pressing intensity to avoid injuries (how is that working out for us?)

I'd rather have half the team injured with exciting football and 12 points more than the crap

we are being served up lately, garbage football and half the team missing anyway.

Im still on the fence with Eddie, he would lead us to the title if we only played once a week

and i really do believe that, he is a top top coach but he simply cant get it right when we have

multiple games in a week and sadly that is what we expect, European competition is needed to

    take the club forwards.

I think he will be gone in the summer, maybe for England. I was always baffled why PIF went

for Emery in the first instance, now i can see why.

    To be fair to Rag.

It was a much improved performance.

    Based on the previous game.

Nobody is saying that the season has been a bed of roses, it hasn't but that game was much better than previous.

Whilst the main stat is obviously goals.

In all stats we were the better side.
