Thread: MH, Stockport is his "Forest away"

My team for what it is worth:-

    Dawson

    Baptiste Agbaire Raggett Jules

    Yearwood Gore Powell

    Hall Nombe Martha

J Holmes if Gore not fit and move Hall to Midfield

    Hughill if Nombe not fit

Not a criticism of the people who have posted teams and formations, but this crisis has moved well beyond a change in personel and a new system.

It's a bit like being on the 20th floor of a tower block which is engulfed in flames from the 18th floor and rising, and hoping a different colour water pistol will dowse the flames.

Nor will a change of manager save us.

The only chance we have is new ownership and there is no guarantee that we will find one and if we do, there is no guarantee they will be honest or competent.

    We are completely f*,cked.

I too think Hamshaw(and hopefully all his team) will be gone before Saturday.Suspect Stewart will have somebody (Rowett ?) lined up attracting them with a huge bonus for staying in this league.

BUT for me, Stockport is his "Forest away" - reference to the Mark Robins - Fergie game.

He needs a result on Saturday, more importantly for me, he needs to make a change. 3421, 352, 343 coupled with a patient build up valuing possession over taking risks is not working - we lack penetration and are not good enough to keep the ball without causing ourselves problems.

I think we need to go to a 4141/433 approach and play more direct. Get the ball forward quickly, push up the pitch and press the opposition. We have the players to do this and it will be something they are all familiar with, wont take much bedding down. We also need to develop a bit of a nasty streak, we are way too nice to play against. We dont make the cynical fouls, the time wasting and general all round sh*thousery that successful teams employ.

If we go on Saturday, with the same formation, same style of play - I will change my views on MH - seen enough of the current ways and it is not working. Last chance saloon for me.
A good post making a lot of sense especially the rejigging of the back line. Will Hamshaw change it remains to be seen.

If he remains stubborn with his team formation and we lose again, then you have to question his mentality and approach to his position.

Have to agree it's looking awfully close to that scenario.

Paul Hurst appointed manager of Boston United today, perhaps he could have come in has MH's number 2 with his experience .
Because the club is certainly in, what you get with a number 2
