I cannot believe you are making light of what is happening in the US sinkov. The adherents of the New Tory Lite Party are truly one set of horrible b@stards.

There is so much that is troubling happening in the US mon ami that I hardly know where to start. Maybe I'll find the time to post a few examples later today, it won't involve idiotic rantings about Hitler and his treatment of Jews though, I'll leave that to the TDS infected amongst us.

As a young person, I was an exchange student in the United States. America was once a place of freedom, opportunity, and responsibility.
For many years, I also agreed with Angela Merkel that one must speak with one?s adversaries. That dialogue ? even with Putin ? was necessary to preserve stability and peace.
But I am no longer there.
    Something fundamental has changed.
And now it is definitively over.
The utterly unhinged American president has closed that chapter ? not with words, but with actions. With threats. With coercion. With contempt for rules, alliances, and human beings.
We have to be honest now.
We have to be more willing to sacrifice something.
    Willing to take responsibility.
    Willing to invest in ourselves.
Willing to build a strong, independent European community ? in the EU, in NATO ? with backbone, resolve, and unity.
We have to move to the front of the bus. Because if we do not do it now, we will never return ? not to the lives we once had. I do not even believe it is possible to return to them. But we can move forward to something else. Something more mature. Something more responsible. Something once again built on rules, peace, calm, and trust.
What is happening now is not a way to live.
And we can no longer say: This will pass.
    Because it will not.
    Naivety is dead.
Our love affair with the United States is definitively over ? not in anger, but in clarity. And now the time has come for us to become far better at taking care of one another.
    In Europe.
    In the EU.
    In the Kingdom.
    In the Nordic region.
    And in Greenland.
It will come at a cost. Economically. Politically. Mentally.
    And we must face that.
Freedom has always had a price.
    Peace has always required will.
And trust does not grow from hope ? but from action.
    Now it is our turn.

No idea what Marianne is trying to say, meaningless, vacuous nonsense, but I'm sure she means well.

Told you days ago, no invasion necessary and the Donald gets his Greenland bases. You and your Lefty chums haven't even come close to working him out have you mon ami. More than likely TDS makes you incapable of even attempting it. Never mind, just you keep listening to your Uncle Sinkov, he'll keep you up to date with what's happening in the real world.

Better men than me than me and thee were totally flummoxed by the Tangerine Clown's antics yesterday mon ami, we are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. European countries and the UK need to recognise the world order has irrevocably changed and we must now strengthen our own fortresses and borders. The US to our left and the FSU to our right and we are stuck bang in the middle at the mercy of Trump and Putin who are strange bedfellows indeed.

I realise you live in the comfort of your right wing bubble mon ami but I don't.

The civil unrest in the US is really quite alarming and from everywhere I read the Europeans have lost all trust and faith in Trump and his cohorts.

I can tell you unequivocally the good folks of Espana loathe him.

My old mucker who lives in Santa Cruz Calif. said this is not the country he fought in Vietnam for...

"Federal immigration agents have detained at least four children from Minnesota public schools over the past two weeks, including a 5-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl who were both sent to Texas detention centres that have come under fire for grotesque conditions."

No longer allies in any sense of the word. We need to get shut and rebuild our own new alliances.

"European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde abruptly left a high-profile private dinner at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland after US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick harshly criticized Europe?s economic underperformance, according to media reports.

The incident, which occurred late Tuesday, was first reported by the Financial Times, with additional details cited by Bloomberg.

Hosted by BlackRock Chief Executive Larry Fink and attended by more than 100 global leaders, the dinner reportedly became tense as Lutnick mocked European economies for lagging behind the US."

A globalist leader being told they're not so clever after all. No wonder she walked out, they really don't like that sort of thing. These people run the world, they don't like it up 'em.

What is very odd though is a Corbyn supporting Lefty regarding Christine Lagarde as an ally, whose side are you really on mon ami ?
