Ooh what happened, my new year's resolution was not respond to Swale so haven't seen anything - not that I give a fig.

Agreed. Matthew Parris - a decent and compassionate Tory - has suggested that ‘if one was to remove ambition from the core of Robert Jenrick he would collapse like a boneless chicken’. There are far too many who fit that description.

SO Nigel Farage failed to declare on time more than £380,000 of outside earnings in the parliament’s register of interests. This is blatant ignorance of parliamentary rules.

I feel sorry for the people of Clacton, because it also proves that he is more interested in lining his pockets with outside work like appearances on GB News than representing his constituents.

Yet this is the man who wants to be prime minister. A man who called for by-elections for party defectors before the General Election yet now does the opposite after. And a man who claims Britain is broken even though more than half of his MPs were part of the very government that broke it.

What a shambles of an MP and what a shambles of a party.

Of course you don't, I mean why allow a few facts and reality affect your views? That would be a rational person speaking.

Davos. Love it. Fantaface lies as if his life depended on it. Economy up. Jobs up. Unemployment down. Inflation beaten, China has no working wind farms (generated 989 TerraWatt Hours in '24, '25 figures will be considerably higher. For comparison, in '23 the UK used 309TWH, the USA 407TWH, ergo China could power both the US and UK from wind energy). Everything he said was false apart from him getting the European NATO countries to pay more into NATO. He then spoilt it by claiming the US paid almost 100% of NATO's costs last year. It was 62%.

He then says he won't invade Iceland (meaning Greenland, of course), Has a meeting with Mark Rutte and leaves with exactly what he already had. The ability to build his Golden Dome, or part of it, on Greenland. Something he could already do under the original NATO Treaty signed in 1951.

Now you have MAGA mutts online claiming he "played" NATO". More proof, if it was needed, that there's dumb, dumber and MAGA.

I know your feeling a little chastened after getting it completely wrong over my iphone post, but you do realise that by repeating this nonsense your just making yourself look very silly when you say something that patently isn't true! Perhaps you need to read my post again? Or is it just you get very upset when shown to be wrong?

I belive there is a word that describes people like yourself who lecture others about what they should say and do, whislt exhibiting that same behaviour themselves! I just can't think of it at the moment, but I'm sure others on here will!

I'd advise you to perhaps wind your neck in and stop lecturing people and focus on, 1) Being less aggressive 2) getting your facts right before launching attacks on others 3) Stop lecturing others about what they say and do 4) Have more self awareness so that you don't lose more credibility than you already have.

Just a bit of friendly advice that will make the Forum a nicer place and allow you some redemption!

As there's no PM function these days, I'll ask the question here. Is TTR back in Thailand or has there been something happen that I missed and he's left (or been pushed)?

In the interview with Fox News, Trump said: “We’ve never needed them. They’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan … and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the frontlines.”

Calvin Bailey, a Labour MP and former RAF officer who served alongside US special operations units in Afghanistan, said Trump’s claim “bears no resemblance to the reality experienced by those of us who served there”.
The Conservative MP Ben Obese-Jecty, who served in Afghanistan as a captain in the Royal Yorkshire Regiment, said it was “sad to see our nation’s sacrifice, and that of our Nato partners, held so cheaply by the president of the United States”.

Tan Dhesi, the chair of the Commons defence committee, said the US president’s comments were “appalling and an insult to our brave British servicemen and women, who risked life and limb to help our allies, with many making the ultimate sacrifice”.

The foreign affairs committee chair, Emily Thornberry, described the comments as “so much more than a mistake”, and “an insult” to the families of those who had died.

Trump has previously been criticised for avoiding being conscripted to fight in Vietnam after being diagnosed with bone spurs in his heels – a medical claim that has been subject to significant doubt.

Correct no PM function even for mods. No idea about TTR's whereabouts. Mod privileges have been curtailed drastically in the past couple of years so I can't 'interrogate' (it used to be down to Ip address level which was a bit 'off' IMO and I only used it once when chasing a rogue user), including whether he's just quiet (he posted about a month or so ago) or left - there is no 'latest activity' date on his profile which might suggest he's deactivated his account but I think not revealing activity was an option when I first joined, might be wrong on that.

Not been pushed by me, he'd had a few yellow cards and warning PMs when I had that 'power' but he wasn't even top of the list for expulsion, but for some time mods appear not to have any sanction power at all
