Based on 45 minutes as a lone striker away from home in a game we were defending the whole time, or the two brief appearances he made in games we'd pretty much already lost?

If TS sells Nombe over MH head following his recent statement on Nombe and this window, I would hope MH has the integrity to walk away. This isn't questioning his integrity at all, I am sure he is a man with great integrity, I am just saying in that situation I would hope he demonstrates it. As for a number of TS does sell him anything less than ?2m would be bad business being their stated business model is to buy young talent and sell for a profit, and him being sold for that in the summer would make sense. Being that at the moment we are letting Joe Powell walk away for NOTHING I have little faith in our board to do the right thing.

Duncan he looked ready a season ago but not with Hamshaw. Ayres my opinion doesn't.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but what are you basing that on? He's barely played. Opinions are usually considered, otherwise it's just noise.

Based on my opinion. You've got to show more than he's done.

If you do not play you cannot gain experience. One allowed to do that in 13 years. Wiles.

Fair enough. So based on 45 minutes where he played as a lone striker after Hugill failed to do anything (Luton) and 37 minutes where he failed to arrest a 6 game losing streak the rest of the team had gone on, you have enough insight to decide he's not shown enough. That's under 90 minutes you've seen.

So based on that same logic, if a young lad starts a new job on Monday, if he's not grabbed the chance and started performing like the long term employees by mid afternoon, we can bin him.

With fans like these, why bother opening the away end?

Not being funny Derby but in what world do you get 2m for Nombe? I think you have to be realistic in what you expect and the longer you leave it the more the players contracts run down and so does their value. Nobody’s saying you have to sell and nobody’s saying you’d accept an 800k bid but I think you need to be realistic in what you ask for or risk losing the player for nothing if he runs his contract down, or in Sam’s case gets injured again. Trust me we know all about over paying for players under Evatt but that won’t happen again so if we’ve made an offer it’s then up to you. Hadn’t heard you were letting Joe Powell leave, especially for nothing but I’d think that would be a bigger mistake than selling Nombe?

His market value is around ?750k. He's under contract until 2027, and there's no desire to sell him.

On what planet do clubs sell players at roughly their market value if they're not trying to part ways? You pay a premium to break a player out 18 months early. Leverage based on contract length means very little until you're into a final year.

Sorry mate but not a chance you will get Sam for less then we paid unless sam insists on moving He still has 18 month left on his contract. We could sell him at the end of the season and get 1 million.

TBF he's the player who would get you promoted
