He is, actually still the moderator. IIRC, there's a few things he is still allowed to do but not as much as a year or 2 back. Not his fault that HQ don't seem to know their 'arris from their elbow.

Okay, so a moderator in name only perhaps, and I agree, the failings of HQ are not AF’s fault…however the repeated attacks on one other poster are, as is the uncritical and tacit approval of another who varies wildly between intelligent and articulate v tasteless, inaccurate and occasionally ‘sick’ posts.

I?ve worn my cloak of moderation lightly and you have no idea what I?ve done behind the scenes with decreasing tools available, and absence of visibility and control of my actions i think contributes to your resentment of my role, but as an example of evenhandedness, if I followed the recent edict /rant about ?whataboutery? I?d have sanctioned Swale?s post of 2:42 for exactly that, yet I didn?t. I?m happy to reconsider if you want.

I don’t resent your role at all, although, by your own admission, it seems to be confined to what warrants a ‘stickie’ these days.

What I object to is your hypocrisy and lack of evenhandedness. If you’re a moderator then act like one and moderate…we all know that you and Swale don’t get on but you, imo, instigate at least as much - probably more - in the way of ‘fall out’ as he does and yet others, who’s views you seem to share, appear to cause offence with impunity.

You can’t have it both ways, Andy. Your ‘cloak of moderation’ as you call it resembles only the ‘Emperor’s new clothes’. You’re either a moderator or Tricky in disguise.

I tried REALLY hard on this GP, spent hours on it but with no success. I consider it my greatest failure
