I wouldnt play him again if I were Ramsey.
The way he put no effort into trying to get that through ball told you all we need to know. A decent kid keeps that in and we might have an attack on.
He brought nothing, we might as well have gone down to 10 men.
Pop him to rot in the reserves.
Don't know what has gone on with Maja, but he doesn't help himself and I would also rate Dike above him at present who looks leaner and is obviously keen to play. He hasn't had many minutes up until yesterday so it will take him a little time to get up to speed. I'm certainly not saying he is an answer to our lack of goals but then none of our traditional number 9s will do well without more service/ support. Personally, I'd like to see Ramsay play both Heggabo and Dike together.
It was clear from Dike's post match interview (on the official Albion site) that Dike has the right desire and good to hear that the training and preparation before yesterday's game sounded positive. Think he was rather over hyping the "great" players we have bit 😂 but the impression I got was that they were working through various options to improve as a group and get things right as they owed it to themselves, fans and everyone at the club. Maybe the rumoured clash between Ramsay and Molumby was part of that process? I know from my own experience that individuals can sometimes have heated debates about how to achieve goals, but the important thing is sharing the same goals and ultimately listening to other options as to how to achieve them. An element of passion is no bad thing though.
The interview was Ramsay echoed much of what Dike had said. Still lots to do and with limited time but yesterday was at least something to build on. Ramsay comes across as more self-assured than Mason but the pleasing thing from yesterday-as Matt pointed out-was that he didn't stick rigidly to his preferred wing back, 3 across the back formation as many of us had feared he might but was prepared to switch to one more suited to the players.
As Ramsay concluded, we need to continue to improve, move on and focus on the games in front of us and then hope that everyone can look back at the abject performances of the Norwich and Portsmouth games as the turning point.
