Motherwell rested half a team, looks like it backfired

Actually you are completely right, was almost identical, except the Motherwell player maybe didn't milk it. Game is becoming a complete joke and unenjoyable with VAR and the standard of officiating. Don't how many booking there was tonights game, but it was lot, and it wasn't even a physical match.

Get the Scottish officials emptied for a whole season, see if it is any better with foreign officials, can't be any worse, can it?

Tackling is being driven out the game, as though it's not a skill, we are at the point now where there is no leeway, any mistimed tackle is a booking, so you only try win the ball if it's desperate, otherwise safer just to jockey and block. Sucks as tackling was a great part of football. Var has made it a million times worse, lowering the bar even further for what is deemed a foul, and encouraging diving.

A game of five asides with your mates must bear no resemblance now to a professional match, fives will be full in tackles and more enjoyment.

The first red card incident, it looks like the Aberdeen player (Milanovic I think) is trying to tell the ref not to book the Motherwell player - what do you reckon?

Yeah, I think he was telling the ref that he fell. Thats what happens when the refs are told to apply the rules to the letter instead of allowing them to apply common sense. The refs seem hell bent on ruining the game and VAR is looking for reasons to get involved. The sooner we get to teams being allowed to request " a challenge" like in tennis the better!
I am willing to bet that any similar decision in the OF quarter final will be met with "common sense and not wanting to ruin the occassion" and a yellow card.
Officiating football on still images....deary me!

For top league sides it wouldnt even cost 50p per supporter to bring in foreign refs for a match. This would better remove bias, prepare Scottish sides for Euro matches and give us some new and exciting chants to learn.

Few Scottish Refs and linesmen been hit by the old heavy sharpened 50p! For what it's worth, I don't think our refs are biased, I just think they are absolutely rank and weak, so easily swayed by VAR. The players are every bit as bad, spend more time on the ground diving than on their feet.
