Boris. IIRC, he lied to the Queen, to Parliament, to the public, to his wives... not sure if any od those are against the Law though.

His Covid cock ups cost him, again IIRC, a massive 50 quid fine.

Not suggesting that Johnson was guilty of the same as Mandelson may be proved to be, however he held the highest of public office and there can be no doubt that he was guilty of misconduct.

One is, probably quite correctly, demonised - no problem with that - the other keeps his allowance (115,000 GBP pa) and is rewarded with numerous speaking engagements.

Doesn’t seem quite right to me.
Misconduct is generally not cause for criminal convictions though.

I agree on the PM pension/ allowance, that Truss gets it is even worse.

For me it should be for PM'S who have at least served a minimum amount of time, say one term, and not been forced out.

Maybe it all depends on what constitutes ‘misconduct in public office’…or indeed just ‘misconduct’.
Well if the 8th in line to the throne can be ‘outed’, there’s hope that (at least the worst of) those other ‘elite’ wrongdoers will suffer the same fate. I think there will be lot of track-covering going on in high places.

Hopefully TAFKAP and Mandelsson are only the start. ALL of those involved in the Epstein hanky panky should be outed and dealt with accordingly.

Can't understand why politicians, and others, are getting involved in this

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn712kvkreeo

Personally think the fact they are making such a big deal suggests they are discriminating against people with tourettes and other disabilities.

Jamie Foxx has gone on record calling John Davidson a racist.

Considering everyone was made aware of his attendance the fact its caused such an uproar is in my opinion unacceptable.

Perhaps those complaining would like to see people with disabilities that may cause others to be offended to be hidden away out of view like we used to do.

I can understand the BBC having to edit out other intentional slurs but its clear this wasnt.

Par for the course for the various cohorts concerned, including but not only the BBC. There?s tremendous double standards throughout broadcasting and ?the arts? on many subjects inc this

It’s called Coprolalia I think and is something only a small minority of Tourettes sufferers experience.

Before we start more of the BBC/politician bashing I do wonder how many of us would be so accepting if someone with such a condition were to be at an adjacent table while we were out for a romantic meal.

Not sure what to make of it all and perhaps, as you say, politicians should probably steer clear unless there are aspects of this we are all unaware of.

One of our friends mums had dementia and u
if out would often make ***ually explicit comments to people. I was subjected to it a fair bit.

We have been in a pub or restaurant with her and our friend would tell people about her medical condition. I think pretty much everyone appeared ok and if anything saw the humour in it.

I reckon the guys from Sinners, knowing who it was could have refused it but perhaps today's actors can't go off script.

I think the likes of Jamie Foxx saying hes a racist or the person who has stepped down from the bafta judging board are ignorant and should be held accountable for being so.

Personally I can't see an issue with the BBC broadcasting it, isn't it all about awareness, hard to he aware if you are going to hide people away who may, involuntarily, offend.

Bet if James Corden had been on stage and he shouted Fat ******* most would have found it amusing. That's not an attempt to say racism is no worse than name calling, but in this case when the intent is not to insult of offend then it isn't so different.

Ok a different observation - in a room fully of lovelies who only know acting, they were caught out by being exposed to a real person living his real life. Any wet wipe can say ‘free Palestine’, what did they expect from this fellah who just said what he saw in his own language.

Back on my usual hobby horse, here as a consequence we have another BBC SNAFU that they then spam the airwaves with news and analysis about - They should cancel BBC4 and have a news channel just about the BBC
