Equally unsurprising that you disagree, as a faux liberal yourself...
Farage condoning today in PMQS one of his councilors calling for a labour mp to be shot
Couldn’t care less about being ‘out on a limb’ Andy, but if you read what I wrote you’d recognise that I’m talking about certain of this ‘comedian’s’ other topics, not his BAFTA rant. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear.
Anyway, moving on. Just watched the Channel 4 three parter about the sewage scandal in this country - ‘Dirty Business’.
Seldom felt so enraged by a TV programme. I won’t comment further at the moment, but I’d urge everyone to please watch it if you haven’t already. Unlike the BAFTA row, this is something that really matters - or should - to each and everyone one of us regardless of our politics.

Final opinion polls for today's by election put labour and green on 28% and reform on 27%
I'll probably be wrong but my gut says labour will just win, as is often seen the sitting party can poll more in the actual poll as people go from their 'protest' to actually putting a cross in the box and change their minds at the last moment.
If labour win , each of the parties will of course claim a victory of sorts.
Didnt realise that but find him funny anyway, as I do a number of comedians who cross many boundaries in all directions (including white English Christian males), you gotta laugh aint ya?
On the water thing, agree its a powerful drama which focussed on part of a dirty (in many ways) - a trip into the sea in Devon and into the Trent at Long Eaton convinced my to keep my family out of UK waters for our own good, how the seniors of the water companies can take their bonuses I dont know
Glad you watched it and pleased we agree. It absolutely staggered and infuriated me. You were wise to conclude that keeping your family out of UK waters was for the best but what an indictment of our country and the impact of privatisation that is.
Hadn’t realised that England and Wales are unique in being the only places in the world where water and sewage is 100% privatised and run for profit. The comparison with organised crime was startling and the messaging about future de/self regulation and the removal of ‘red tape’ for future development in other areas is something we should all be more mindful of. As for those ‘seniors’ you speak of…some of them should be in prison not collecting bonuses, imo.
Probably the scariest thing I’ve ever watched.
