There's nothing strange about the situation whatsoever and I think you're being totally disingenuous regarding the issues at the club.
Let's be honest, we've been garbage all season. We were even garbage against a 10 man Port Vale team, back in August. There are very few games where we can say we truly played well. The bookies knew we were relegation fodder back in November because every single statistic out there had us amongst the worst sides in the league.
We've scored 1 goal from open play in the last SEVEN games. Yet we have Nombe, Gray and Watmore on the pitch. The manager can't get a tune out of them because he doesn't know what he's doing. He signs 6 players in January and aside from Gray and Watmore, none can get a game. We have the worst away record in the league, AGAIN.
As for injuries, it's simple. We've signed injury prone players, players who aren't used to playing this many games and have training and rehabilitation methods which aren't working for this group of players. It can't be working. How many players have had 2, 3 or even 4 injuries this season? It's outrageous. It doesn't matter how you want to slice it, this all comes down to Hamshaw and his coaching staff. That's where the accountability is and that's why we're in this mess.
I desperately wanted Hamshaw to succeed because I bought into this idea of buying young emerging talent, developing them and thus creating assets for the club. But this is now a badly failed project and a complete dereliction of duty from the board to keep Hamshaw in situ.
Furthermore, are you going to trust this guy to rebuild a squad which has 20+ players out of contract in the summer?
