Had a wee look at the timeline of Aberdeens proposals,in 2017 they put their plans on hold after council chiefs asked them for more details, they thought about upgrading pittodrie but are now back on track with plans for a new stadium.
It just shows you it does take time even for clubs with a more upfront guvnor in charge. The club say the council approached them about the stadium, the rumour I heard from a quite reliable source was that the dundee council were happy with dundee fc to go with campy site.
My only hope is it gets resolved soon
Well I think they have been had b cram.
Nothing has ever been imminent for the last 3 years but people have been continually rolled out for their moment in the spotlight to say it is.
The courier article today suggests nothing has moved forward and I'd suggest it's unlikely to.
Now wha mentioned Tannadice 5 years ago. 🤔
That threat of an obvious way out is there.
I am surprised that Nelms did not publish the designs for his new stadium development at Campy Nou at the same time as the season ticket prices for 2026-27 season were published on the Club website.
He has been strangely quiet with none of his usual complaints in the Courier about Transport Scotland stymieing his planning application for his new stadium development.
At my first Dee4life board of directors meeting as a non voting guest in May 2018 the secretary announced that he had received a letter from John Nelms stating that he (Nelms) hoped that the Dee4life board of directors would give their blessing to Dundee Football Club moving from Dens Park to the new stadium at Camperdown as Dee4life could block this move under the entrenched rights of their A shares.
Almost 8 years ago John Nelms knew the powers that the A shares held which FPS had agreed to prior to them purchasing a majority shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited in August 2013.
