Is it true that this chap's contract is up with Man Utd and he hasn't been offered a new one? Would we be wasting our time making an approach and would he be worth it?

Gorra be in it to win it, unfortunately our current board won?t be in it.
Are we an ambitious club ? Hes been on a kids wage at Man U who arent retaining him. Make him a good offer and Im sure hell stay.
One of our best ever loans, proper footballer, should walk into any championship club.
A great player and good luck to him in the future, same with Baptiste the best player that MH brought in, as Gore was a SE signing
It was reported last autumn when we were playing well (that all-too-brief spell) and there was a bit of noise for a time that an offer (big for us, trivial for United) might be on the cards, but as our form dipped so did the apparent interest in splashing out a chunk of money. He obviously likes something here after Hamshaw rescued the situation Evans left regarding the phantom injury, so there may be a way to get him here permanently... I'd imagine we're into 'build the team around him' and making him a (relatively) big earner. He has a young kid, may well want to be up north somewhere, so maybe the right offer could do it, with a fail-to-go-up release clause. As mentioned above though, if he can't get better options, his agent needs putting to pasture.
Dan Gore has so much potential he'd be doing himself an injustice dropping to league 2. He needs a club and manager that can take his game to the next level, but he's already shown he can play at league 1 level so either stay with that or look into the championship would be my advice to his agent, that is if Man Utd are releasinghim of course.. Hopefully yodelers takeover have the funds to tempt Baptist & Gore to stay. They were the standout players of a dismal season.
