If only I could remember the date :-(
No Molumby so can only assume he is injured as he's not on the bench either-or have I missed something? He's had his critics in the past but he epitomizes the fighting spirit the team have shown of late and a pity he misses this last game of the season. At least Ollie Bostock gets his chance on the wing
Molumby has a strain
3 changes with only Molumby/Bostock enforced but a few too many sloppy passes in these opening mins. Let's hope they settle down and this improves quickly as the Owls won't be a push over especially after their good news today about their takeover confirmation.
Bit strange that Phillips is on the bench so let's also hope that Gilchrist has one of his better games today!
We need to wake up sharpish, 2-0 down pathetic defending all round, Gilchrist is NOT a footballer
Good opportunity today for Bostock but at the moment he not taking it.
Well, that was coming to be fair and now the clean sheet record broken. Sheffield are finding it far too easy to run through our lines and now 2-0 down at half time.
Defensively we seem all at sea and I'm sure Morrison will have a few words at half time as it seems that having attained safety from relegation too many are finding it difficult to continue raising their game today. The Owls were never going to be easy to beat as their results against some of the top clubs have demonstrated. We need to tighten up sharpish if we want to have a chance of getting anything from this game. Think we are definitely missing both Phillips and Molumby.
I can see a few changes second half with maybe Phillips on for Gilchrist and Dike for Maja. Bany too might make an appearance as he has looked decent when he has come on in the past couple of games. Bostock has pace but there are times in this game when his inexperience has shown which is doubtless why he hasnt started before though he will only improve and I expect to see more of him next season.
It will be exceptionally disappointing to end this season with a loss, especially after the turn around in recent games and especially as it marks Morrison's first game as appointed "permanent" manager.
I get the three changes made and pleased Morrison made them at half time rather than wait until later but query why Phillips not on for Gilchrist
